Bill Weasley and Nymphadora Tonks
When I met my best friend Jan in a Harry Potter role-playing game just a few months after Order of the Phoenix came out. She was playing Tonks and I was playing Remus. Since I play Remus as celibate, I was worried she would want to pair them up. She told me that it was no problem, since her Tonks had a thing for Bill (you can imagine our shock at book six!)
Anyway, Jan has since converted me to loving the pairing of Bill and Tonks. When she went in for surgery and I made her these customs of Bill and Tonks to cheer her up.
Since neither character has a movie counterpart (there are only very blurry pictures of Bill from PoA and there were no pics of Natalia Tena as Tonks when I started), I decided just to riff on what I thought they looked like. Tonks was no problem. Smiley Willow for me all the way. Tonks is described as smiling a lot and having a heart shaped face, which I think really came off on the Smiley Willow head. Bill was more difficult. I decided to go with a rugged, Indiana Jones look. Jan and I joked it was fitting I was using Wes, since Alexis and Aly are married IRL.
Bill is made from FFL Spike body, with a Parting Gifts Wesley head, jacket and arms. I realize the arms are a bit too long, but since he's holding Tonks, I didn't bother shortening them. I sculpted Bill's long hair, an Ankh necklace (because of all his years in Egypt). His dragon fang earring is made from part of a weapon (I can remember what), but I noticed it was the right size and shape for a fang. His outfit is based off a description from GoF-- Dragonhide Boots, red hair in a ponytail, dragon fang earring. Looks like he'd fit in at a Muggle rock concert. He's never said to wear a jacket, but I thought it would make him look really cool. I gave it a light red wash which I thought gave it a cool effect and might suggest it was made from dragon hide.
Tonks is made from the Smiley Willow head and a Bunny Anya body. I resculpted the hair into Tonks' short, spikey look and sculpted a t-shirt. Her look is based off a description at the end of OotP-- Purple t-shirt with the Weird Sisters written on it and faded jeans. I tried to put patches on the jeans, but it looked a bit ridiculous, so I took them off.
